Gehring Dancetheatre's Summer Dance Intensive is a five-week program in July that allows dance students, preparing for a professional career, to work alongside a professional company. Students dance 25 hours a week, studying ballet, modern, hip hop, ballroom, and other disciplines. The Summer Dance Intensive is hosted by Garden State Ballet, in Rutherford, NJ. The faculty is made up of current Gehring Dancetheatre members, Garden State Ballet faculty, as well as guest instructors, invited by the company. The intensive culminates in a studio performance showcasing the styles and Gehring Dancetheatre repertoire the students have learned. |
